Richard and Tom were working for the widows of Harry and Ansel Wallace, owners of Wallace Photography when they decided it was time to go into business for themselves. Cameras from the turn of the century, using glass negatives in some cases, were still in use. They purchased the building and contents in 1949.

Donahue Studios made this photograph in 1978 and it features many antique photographic tools of the trade.

Included in the photograph are: Eastman View Cameras, made in the USA, by Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester NY. Korona View Cameras manufactured by the Gundlach-Manhatten Optical Co., also of Rochester. No. 4 Acme Synchro Lenses, ILEX Optical Co. Rochester, NY.

Images up to 16”x20” were attainable on glass or film with these cameras.
